Highlands Veterinary Hospital is awesome! I have a senior dog and one with an autoimmune disease, and they have always been helpful, caring and willing to go the extra mile. Follow them on FB and get access to some really informative live sessions once a month covering things like arthritis, senior pets and first aid.
Our boy had cancer and I went to Highlands Veterinary Hospital after a recommendation from a friend. I was there for a second opinion and was absolutely blown away with the kind, caring team there. It felt like I had been going there for years. When it was time to say goodbye to our beloved baby, Dick came to our home.
From the moment I called reception to enquire about their services, particularly their understanding around nervous dogs, it was a fantastic experience. Not only was reception so understanding and took their time to talk with me over the phone about their ‘sensory garden’ but even their check-in after the consult.
The experience with the vet himself was the most caring, kind and understanding consult we have ever had. The vet made sure to give Pedro his space while respecting the importance to build trust with him. Not to mention the amazing time that was given to myself and my partner to thoroughly explain medication and prevention of illness. Pedro was able to stay in the consult room the whole time and was at ease.
I could not highly recommend this vet enough. The moment we walked away from the vet we had complete trust and a sense of relief. The trip to the vet will no longer be a stressful one for myself, my partner and most importantly Pedro.
Highly recommend the team at HIGHlands Veterinary Hospital. They were extremely understanding of the difficulties I had with getting my cat into the carrier and showed patience and kindness towards our situation. Couldn’t have handled it better. Thanks again, team.
Very nice people at reception and very patient Dr… My little Bambi hates everyone and everything but the Dr. had her up in his arms within minutes – unbelievable… Really listened and takes the time to explain everything… Highly recommend
Dick is a rare vet. It’s about your animals’ health and wellbeing, not money. It’s as simple as “they care”. Everything is explained in a way you can understand. Very highly recommend.
I congratulate Dr. Dick and his wonderful team for a marvellous Veterinary practice. I came with 2 very sick animals, and the care they provided was exceptional. My dog, Olivia, is now bounding with joy and senior energy and no longer in pain and discomfort. Her “sister” Mouse, a Siamese cat of similar age, developed an unusual disease that Dr Dick diagnosed and did everything possible in the 3 days we had to stop her organs shutting down. I was grieving when she died and the team embraced me and her and arranged her cremation and sent beautiful flowers, a message on a beautiful card about her and a lovely brass plaque in their pet memorial garden. All I can say this is a professional 5 star vet practice that makes me feel they are part of the family. Thank you from Olivia, Felicity, Mouse, and Pamela

Dick is a wonderful vet who tries to help every animal. Our dogs are always looked after very well by them. His knowledge is fantastic and he doesn’t give up easily. A great place to take your pets to ensure the best of care and health. Friendly too!
We have had nothing but compassion and support from Dick and his team for our aging dog, Hayley. The advice provided has always been very considered and detailed so that we understand the care needed for her. Even though they are way down the road from us (40 minutes), we wouldn’t consider any other vet or care for her. No hesitation in recommending HIGHland Veterinary Hospital.
Highly recommend Dick, and the team. They go above and beyond for their clients. When my dog was diagnosed with epilepsy, Dick explained every detail from blood results to choosing the best medication. With Dick’s extensive knowledge, experience, and compassion, you have no doubt that your pets are in the best hands possible with people you can truly trust.
My special fur friend passed away on the weekend. I called HIGHlands Veterinary hospital to inform them as he has been one of their patients. That same afternoon I received a beautiful bunch of flowers and a special message of condolences. A vet that truly understands! I was always happy with their service but it’s the small things that can make a big difference!
Always going above and beyond for us and our fur babies… Keeping us well and truly informed so that we understand all the facts and helping us through the process every step of the way…such an amazing team and such an amazing vet.
I have been using HIGHlands Veterinary Hospital for quite a few years and they are all just amazing. From general checkups, and sadly having to put our older fur babies to sleep, they went above and beyond to ease the sadness x
