Wow – how time flies… – I hope you’re having lots of fun with your pet.

Your pet is now about 6 months of age. It only seems like yesterday when you and I met over this beautiful bundle of fun. And now look at the much larger, bouncier puppy that’s developed – a great member of your family!

Today it’s the next ‘episode’ of your ‘What To do With My New Puppy’ video series.

I hope that ‘things’ have been going well and that you’ve covered off on all those milestones from the previous videos. If you’re having ANY challenges with them at all – please let me know – I’m here to help!

This period of time in your pet’s life has a few more milestones…

The BIG milestone is desexing.

To get all the benefits of a healthy, happy, long-lived fur family member, desexing is one of the keys. And the best time to do that is NOW.

EXCEPTION: if you have a large or giant breed of dog, then talk to me about delaying desexing till about 9 to 15 months of age. I discuss this in the video.

Today’s video is all about ‘What To Do With My 6 month-old Puppy’.

Another milestone is to ensure that your pet gets started on the One-A-Year Heartworm prevention injection. It’s important to get started right NOW. I also talk about that in the video.

Remember; if, after watching the video, you need any more ‘in-depth’ information or if you have ANY questions at all – just holler. Ring, email, drop-in, contact us through Facebook or the website, and fire in with any questions you may have – we’re here for you.

We’ll catch up again in three months’ when your pet is 9 months of age – see you then.

Warmly,

Dr. Diederik Gelderman
